Sevayatan School of Medical Technology

Sevayatan (Path. Lab) is a well known diagnostic centre situated at Singur in the District of Hooghly running since 1983 with its reputation in the field of quality laboratory diagnostic services. Number of health related scientific seminars are organized by Sevayatan during the past years since its inception. On the eve of its silver jubilee year 2007 it has started one Para medical course of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) under the aegis of the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal, which is first in its type in the district of Hooghly. The name of the newly established institute is christened to be Sevayatan School of Medical Technology.

From the year 2014 Sevayatan School of Medical Technology has started a new 3-year Bachelor Degree Course in Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc MLT) under the affiliation of The West Bengal University of Health Sciences. We are the pioneer to start this course in this district also. This course provides the students a great opportunity to be an efficient scientific worker in the related fields.

Our Mission is to create the scopes of higher studies in the Field of Medical Laboratory Technology to the aspirant students in the rural areas and to produce well trained medical technologists for better health care services both in the government and private sectors.

We are running the courses with our own infrastructures of good class rooms, library with lending facilities of ebooks/ebooks/journals/ manuals etc. Laboratory facilities with advance biomedical instrumentation are also there to support students.

Renowned Faculties from various medical and teaching institutions are engaged in the teaching programs throughout the year.
